In 2009 private investigator and Tristar Investigation founder Bruce Robertson was retained to track down the person who shot two endangered California Condors. This was the first time a private detective had been assigned to this type of case. The story was first featured in the Los Angeles Times and numerous other publications throughout the U.S, including the New York Times and the San Francisco Chronicle. Mr. Robertson’s search covered over 7,000 square miles of the California Condor range in the central California region.
