Tristar Investigation founder Bruce Robertson was featured in a November 2007 segment of Kurt the Cyber Guy, a syndicated nationwide news broadcast originated at KTLA in Los Angeles. The segment described how a GPS consumer device can be used to catch cheating spouses.

Host Kurt Knutson introduced Robertson by showing a cabinet drawer full of surveillance equipment at the Tristar Investigation headquarters in Los Angeles and observing that “Private eye Bruce Robertson has a war-chest of sneaky surveillance gadgetry to create 007 envy.” While the segment describes the lower tech consumer grade GPS “Tracking Stick” device which can be used to track suspected cheaters, Robertson also demonstrated professional GPS tracking equipment that gives real time information to surveillance agents tracking cheating spouses.
